Legal Nature and Corporate Purpose:
Que la COMERCIALIZADORA INTERNACIONAL DE METALES PRECIOSOS DE COLOMBIA S.A.S – C.I. MEPRECOL S.A. es una sociedad comercial legalmente constituida, cuya actividad principal (CIIU 4662) es el comercio al por mayor de metales y productos metalíferos, centrando su objeto en operaciones de comercio exterior de oro y minerales estratégicos.
Early Disposal Process and State Ownership:
That, through Resolution No. 299 of 2024, the early disposal process of the company was initiated, as it was under a forfeiture of ownership (asset forfeiture) proceeding. Subsequently, through Resolutions No. 599 and No. 601 of November 2025, the Special Assets Society (SAE S.A.S.) transferred 100% ownership of the shares to the Ministry of Mines and Energy, thereby consolidating the company as a state-owned asset.
Designation as a Strategic Asset:
Que el 7 de noviembre de 2025, la SAE S.A.S. catalogó a C.I. MEPRECOL S.A.S como un Activo Estratégico de la Nación, bajo las bases del Plan Nacional de Desarrollo. Esta calificación responde a su valor fundamental para el cumplimiento de los fines sociales del Estado, la estabilización del mercado del oro, la formalización minera, la trazabilidad y la lucha contra la ilegalidad en la cadena de suministro.
Strict Compliance and Ethical Standards:
That the company has a robust compliance framework, having implemented the Comprehensive Self-Control and Risk Management System for Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (SAGRILAFT) and the Business Transparency and Ethics Program (PTEE), ensuring transparency and legal compliance before national authorities and international markets.
